Asa songs

Asa (born Bukola Elemide on September 17, 1982) is a Nigerian-French singer, songwriter, and musician who was born in France but grew up in Nigeria.

It was in Paris that Aa was born to Nigerian parents who were both working and studying cinematography at the time of her birth.

When she was two years old, her family went to Nigeria to reside. Despite the fact that her parents are originally from Itoku, Abeokuta South local government area in Ogun State, Nigeria, Aia grew up in Lagos, which is located in the country’s south-western region, and 18 years later returned to Paris, where her career as an artist took off.

She is the fourth and only female child in a family of three boys, with her brothers being the oldest.

Asa’s musical influences developed over time as a result of her father’s extensive collection of wonderful music, which he had amassed as part of his work as a cinematographer.

Among the artists that contributed to these albums of American, Nigerian, and African soul standards were legendary performers such as Marvin Gaye, Fela Kuti, Bob Marley, Aretha Franklin, King Sunny Adé, Diana Ross, Nina Simone, and Miriam Makeba. Aa went on to draw inspiration from them in the following years.
